When is the best time to plant a tree?

The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago and the second best time is now. This is a Chinese proverb that inspires us to plant trees, but the real question is which season is the best to plant a tree? The answer is the fall season, why? Because during this season trees tend to send roots in the soil, some of them while shedding their leaves and others while preparing for the cold season when they stop growing tender leaves and or needles that could be prone to harsh weather conditions, their reserve goes to their roots. 

أفضل وقت لزراعة الأشجار كان قبل عشرين عامًا، وثاني أفضل وقت هو الآن. هذا مثل صيني يلهمنا لزراعة الأشجار، لكن السؤال الحقيقي هو أي فصل هو الأفضل لزراعة الأشجار؟ والإجابة هي فصل الخريف، لماذا؟ لأن الأشجار تميل خلال هذا الفصل إلى إرسال جذورها في التربة، بعضها أثناء تساقط أوراقها والبعض الآخر أثناء الاستعداد لموسم البرد عندما تتوقف عن نمو الأوراق الطرية أو الإبر التي قد تكون عرضة لظروف الطقس القاسية، وتذهب احتياطياتها إلى جذورها.
