تنمو أشجار الشوح  فقط على ارتفاعات عالية – 1000-2000 متر، وهي موجودة بطبيعتها في الجزء الشمالي من البلاد؛ هذا النوع لا يتحمل درجات الحرارة المرتفعة، ويمكن أن يصل طوله إلى 30 مترًا، وآخر وجود جغرافي الى الجنوب لأشجار الشوح  هو حرش إهدن. إنها بطيئة النمو خاصة في السنوات القليلة الأولى من الحياة، والتي تحتاج خلالها إلى زراعتها في منطقة مظللة.

Christmas trees only grow at high altitudes—1000-2000 meters of elevation, in nature it is present in the northern part of the country; the species does not tolerate hot temperatures, can reach 30m in length, the last southern existence of Christmas trees is Horsh Ehden. It is slow growing especially in the first few years of life, during which they need to be planted in a shady area.
